THE STEPPING STONES SERIES
Collectible Book Cover Design
The Stepping Stones Series is a collectors edition book series that promotes reading in the classroom and public spaces. A partnership with Barnes and Noble, the non-profit, Make Way For Books, has created the conceptual book series to raise money for books to be placed in the classroom and in doctors offices. The Stepping Stones Series is thought of as a series which offers books in order of reading level. When one book is completed in the reading level, the reader would then go to the next book which is then more advanced. This project focused heavily on typography choices to evoke a feeling of academia and scholarly reading for a younger audience.
Book Cover Details
The full book cover design including interior jackets, spine, front, and back cover. These designs are intended to give children the chance to have their own collectible book series which increase in reading level as they go through the series.
