NATIONAL MUSEUM OF FUNERAL HISTORY
Brand System Design
This semester-long project consisted of a brand identity design for a museum which was assigned at random. The National Museum of Funeral History needed a rebrand that was culturally acceptable since they offer exhibits on various cultures. This project started with research, including an audit of the museum, and then moved on to a proposal deck and strategic summary. The results were a pitch deck used to present the final brand design and a tangible brand book. The brand book is intended to feel like a funeral guest book or funeral log and the cover was hand crafted to fit the brand and logo design.
NMFH Branding Detail
Up close view of NMFH logo and wordmark. The logo is a representation of a rib cage, something that all cultures have since the museum features funeral history of all cultures. The wordmark uses a bespoke typeface derived from the typeface, Baskerville.

NMFH Branded Items
The National Museum of Funeral History required a variety of branded items to be sold in the gift shop. Below are selected branded items that showcase what would be sold in the store. These items include a coffee cup with the museums badge, a tag with the logo, and a branded umbrella.
NMFH Website and Social Media
The website and social media for The National Museum of Funeral History were an important aspect when thinking about the museum as a whole. The website would showcase their unique collections, the about us page, and a place to purchase tickets while using images taken from inside the museum. The social media pages and ads would let visitors know what the museum has to offer and be a way to communicate with current and future vistors.
